Diesel-generator 1-9 (version 3)

Based on the family of unified diesel engines 49 diesel engine 1626/26 has been developed and is produced for use as a component of diesel-generator 1-9 (version 3) intended for replacement of power plants including obsolete 2-cycle diesel engines 10100 installed in diesel locomotives 210.

Operation of 56 locomotive sections (of type 210) equipped with diesel-generators 1-9 (version 3) showed reduction of fuel consumption by 15,5% and of oil by a factor 1,9 to 2,8. Design solutions implemented in the diesel-generator 1-9 (version 3) allowed to provide compliance with modern requirements for harmful mission limits, smoke and sound pressure and to reduce maintenance and repair costs, to improve economical parameters and to increase overhaul intervals.

Period of recovering costs for major overhaul/reconditioning including installation of 1-9 (version 3) covers from 5 to 6 years maximum.

Examples of application

Installation of diesel-generators 1-9 (version 3) in locomotives of type 210 during major overhaul/reconditioning is carried out by Ussuriysk Locomotive repair Plant. Locomotives 210 equipped with diesel-generators 1-9 (version 3) are in service on Severnaya, Oktyabrskaya, Moscovskaya, Gorkovskaya, Pryvolzhskaya, Dalnevostochnaya railways (Russia) and in Uzbekistan.

Environmental compatibility

Diesel-generator 1-9 (version 3) shows reduced smoke, harmful emissions and sound pressure complying with GS 51249-99, GS 51250-99.
